It's the law.
New York state has passed a law requiring any doctor who performs invasive procedures in an office-based setting to undergo an accreditation process, which has to be completed in less than eighteen months. By January 2008 you must have a sentinel event policy in place and your staff has to be educated about it.
What is Accreditation Now?
We are a consulting group made up of seasoned health-care workers with over 20 years' experience.
Why must I do this?
Because it is the law. It will also be reported to the OPMC if you do not comply.
Why now?
It's later than you think. Remember, the sentinel event policy must be in effect on January 1, 2008.
Why us?
We have the longest experience in New York. We are doctors and nurses like yourselves. We have been there. We are a band of brothers. We understand.
What we do for you.
- Meet with you and work directly with your staff
- Write policy and procedure plans for your office
- Help you comply with OPMC, ADA, HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA, and all the other regulatory agencies
- Write employee manuals and job descriptions
- Help you change your environment of care to comply with the new law.
- Set up committees and start meetings
- Institute quality assurance, risk management, infection control, and benchmarking
- Conduct a mock inspection by an experienced person
We will do all the work and allow your office to function as if we were not there.
Our motto is: We do the work, teach your staff, let your employees do what they are trained to do, and give you the tools to succeed.
But I can do it myself.
Don't underestimate the task at hand. it is very intensive work, and if accountants, lawyers, entrepreneurs, or pseudo-health-care workers are your advisors, you will spend too much time and money and will find your staff doing most of the work while neglecting their regular office duties.
Follow our lead. Your office won't miss a beat. We will give you the means to ensure your success.
